What JFLendingaHand.com Means to Me:

What an honor to be a part of JFLendingaHand.com! Julie and I have been working together for years chairing different school events and volunteering countless hours to various charities. With so many incredible charities that need our help, I too found it hard to commit to only one or even a couple. Her genius allows me and all of you to give back to so much more—and it’s almost effortless—show the card at places you shop anyway and simultaneously give to charity. It’s genius; it’s beautiful; and I am proud to be affiliated with such an incredible program.

About My Family:

About Shannon Mantica

Originally from Huntington, I have called Fort Wayne home for almost 15 years. My husband, Peter, and I have been married for 20 years. Peter is an engineer at ITT and coaches basketball and two softball teams. Together we have five very active children. Our eldest daughter, Rachel, is a sophomore at Ball State University and volunteers at Covington Elementary. Megan is a junior at Homestead, is accepted to St. Francis in the ACE program, is a Key Club member and plays softball for ASL. Lauren is a freshman at Homestead, plays tennis for the Spartans, is also a Key Club member, and plays softball as well. Peter, Jr., is in the sixth grade at Woodside Middle School and is very busy with basketball, football, and track. Our youngest, Emma, is a fourth-grader at Covington Elementary and plays basketball and softball. We are all active parishioners at St. Patrick’s Church, Arcola.

About Me:

While raising my children, I worked part-time for the YMCA as a Financial Coordinator for almost 7 years. I also coached basketball, was the Treasurer of my Home Association Board, chaired numerous school events, was a Girl Scout Leader, taught Religious Education and worked as a fundraiser and volunteer for various charities. I continue to support all of my children’s activities in and outside of school and serve as the Vice President of the Parent Teacher Club at Woodside Middle School.

As a child my family was always working on a home improvement project. From the inside out, we could turn a distressed house into a beautiful home. Since then I continue this in my own homes. Over the years I have learned about electricity, plumbing, roofing, painting, flooring, and structural soundness to name a few. My parents instilled an incredible work ethic and a gift of being able to see what something can become. My interest in Real Estate has been cultivated for many years, and I am so excited to share my knowledge and unique qualifications with you as a Mike Thomas Associates Realtor.

Objective:

I will bring a fresh perspective regarding the buying and/or selling of your home. I thrive on challenge and cannot wait to give you my personal best. I promise to make your real estate experience run as smoothly as possible and to give you an attention to detail like no other. No matter what stage of the game you’re in, whether it be a first home, upgrading, or down-sizing, let me help you find the perfect house to call home. In addition to all of these perks, I will donate 10% of my commission to a JFLendingaHand.com charity of your choice on your behalf. It doesn’t get much better than that!
